THE INDIANS IN ARIZONA.

General Mason is about to start his
grand campaign against the Apache.
Captain Grant, with his company at Date
Creek , and Lieutenant Given, with his
detachment at Wickenburg, -will , by fre—
quent short scouts, keep the country in
their vicinity cleared.
As soon as it is possible to send them
to their destination, two companies of
Arizona troops will scout the country ,
from the head of the east fork of the
Verde to the south and southeast. At the
same time a company will be stationed at
the settlement at the Clear Fork of the
Verde, which will throw out scouts to
the northeast , east and southwest , to
co—operate with the troops from the
command of Colonel Bennett on the south
and the Arizonians on the north.
