The Arizona Miner
Prescott, Arizona Territory
February 15th, 1873
Indians--—Their Agents and Reservations.
At latest dates from Camp Date Creek,
there were about 414 Indians at that
“feeding post,” they call it; under Dr.
Williams, who is agent for Camp Verde
reservation. Those Indians are repres
ented as being well fed and content.
Ochocalma, chief of a band of bad
Apache-Mohaves, author of the murder
of Leihy, Loring and others, was in
there, boarding. A correspondent informs
us that the scoundrel was not so badly
wounded, in the recent emote at Date
Creek, as they were led to believe.
