The Arizona Miner Prescott, Arizona Territory March 22nd, 1873 After the Murderers- Lieutenant Wm. F. Rice, 23rd Infantry, guide, D. O’Leary, 50 mounted soldiers and 20 friendly Indians, left Camp Date Creek early Tuesday last, to follow the trail of the savage gang that murdered Swain, McDonald and Taylor. Lieut. Rice will do all that can be done to overtake and punish the imps. Another party was sent out from Camp McDowell.
