Crook has now three companies of cavalry, 90 Hualapai and 30 Maricopa Indians in and around Hualapai, Date Creek and Santa Maria river. Gen. Crook is determined to admit no more Apache—Mohave Indians on reservations unless they go to the guardhouse. He will not trust them to run at large on the reservations any more.
