The Apache—Mohave Indians are, every one, sneaking murderers and thieves, and yet they are allowed the run of military posts in this vicinity, and have oftent imes been fed out of their commissaries. The Indian that murdered Abraham Henning was an Apache-Mohave son of a gun, who had in his possession a paper from the commander at Camp Date Creek, recommendi ng him as a good Indian.
