The Arizona Sentinel
Yuma, Arizona Territory
May 24th, 1873
DISCOVERED.- We have it from und
oubted authority, and the proof is
conclusive, that “Chimehuevi Sal,”
chief of the Date Creek Indians who
were in search of human and other
game in our vicinity a few weeks
ago, was the leader of the band of
fiends who murdered boring and party
near Wickenburg in 1871. When capt
ured, or when he surrenders with
his band, he will, no doubt, be
presented with an extra blanket, a
Winchester rifle, and all the
ammunition he wants.
