The Arizona Miner
Prescott, Arizona Territory
June 3rd, 1871
The Messrs. Kimball, Traders at Camp
Date Creek, have lost heavily by sold
iers, during the past two weeks. Upon
one occasion, their store at Date Creek
was entered and some 50 or 60 gallons of
whiskey were spilled and spirited away.
A day or two ago. a stock of lager—
beer, etc., disappeared from the wagon
in which it was being conveyed from
Prescott to Date Creek, and the loss is
charged to the escort. We have no excuse
to make for the robbers, and hope to
hear of their being punished.
