We take the following from a letter written at San Pedro under date of May 23d, by Mr Tyson , a well—known Arizona miner and ex— plorer, to a gentleman in this city: "The news from Arizona is lamentable indeed . We could have spared any other man in Arizona better than our good—hearted, clear—headed , energetic, go—head Charley Cunningham. He possessed more energy , indomitable persev— erence and will, than any man in the Terri— Cory. We have sustained a great and irrepar— able loss in his death. Everyone who knew him admired the numerous excellent qualities he possessed: a generous, good man has fallen a victim to the Apaches. All mingle tears of sympathy with the truly bereaved and aff— licted family. "
